Insomniac Games has revealed that Aunt May’s mansion will be one of the iconic locations in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. This tidbit of information about the upcoming game was released as part of the developers’ presentation at the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con, where they also provided additional Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Venom information and other information about the much-anticipated game.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 received its first gameplay glimpse in late May at the most recent PlayStation Showcase following a number of teasing. After releasing the video, Insomniac Games showed off more information about the game at the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con, including fresh details on the game’s story, cast, and settings.
New Location in Spider-Man 2
The creators of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 verified Aunt May’s home during that recently held conference. The series not only added this iconic setting as fan service but also made sure it plays a role in the overall story of the game. More precisely, Aunt May’s home will be the focus of many of Peter Parker’s early-game problems, not least because the protagonist will find it difficult to make the mortgage payments on the property. Parker’s love interest from Marvel’s Spider-Man will soon have to concentrate on her own issues because, J. Jonah Jameson’s return to The Daily Bugle will put her employment on the line, according to Insomniac, even if MJ will want to help him carry that weight.
As Forest Hills, Queens is the canon site of Aunt May’s house in every iteration of Marvel’s web-slinging superhero, this plot detail hints that some of the opening scenes of Spider-Man 2 will take place there. During the PlayStation Showcase on May 24, Insomniac announced that they will include Queens and numerous other New York boroughs in their third Spider-Man game. The action itself received a great deal of praise for addressing one of the main problems with the previous two Marvel’s Spider-Man games, which were primarily restricted to Manhattan.
Final Thoughts
Peter Parker will wear the symbiote suit in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which will give him access to new powers but have an adverse effect on his mental health, serving as both a story device and a means of character development. The game will have a Grand Theft Auto-style character changing function, with players typically having the option to pick between playing as Miles Morales and Peter Parker, according to the late May demo reveal.
Additionally, some other villains will make a reappearance in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, even if Kraven the Hunter appears to be the game’s primary enemy. The most notable of these is Mister Negative, who was already a significant character in Insomniac’s previous two Spider-Man games.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 debuts for the PlayStation 5 on October 20.
