The Apex Legends community has asked the game’s creator, Respawn Entertainment, to address a serious cheating issue affecting the game, with some hackers destroying other gamers’ overall gaming experiences. Most multiplayer games have been affected by cheaters for years, but the most recent wave in Apex Legends has raised some controversy as recordings started to surface online.

As Apex Legends Season 16 began on February 14, it introduced a number of new features. For the first time in four years, there were no new Legends in this season, but Respawn Entertainment overhauled the whole class system in Apex Legends Season 16 to give each role a different gameplay benefit. The first team to secure 30 kills in Team Deathmatch mode, which Respawn created, wins the round. Apex Legends Season 16 also introduced a brand-new battle pass and cosmetic goodies.
Gamers urged Respawn Entertainment to take action against Apex Legends hackers in order to address this major cheat issue in a Reddit post that highlighted a new hack that has been affecting Apex Legends matches for a few weeks now. Apex legends gamers want Respawn to give those hackers a hardware ban, a technique already used in multiplayer games like Valorant, Call of Duty, and GTA Roleplaying Servers, to stop cheats from entering permanently. Hardware bans are more effective than traditional bans that gamers can get around by signing into a different account, even though this solution is flawless and could still be defeated.
A recent Apex Legends hack has cheaters forcing their enemies to infinitely reload, preventing them from performing any action and enjoying the game. On top of cheaters using multiple hacks at once, such as the aimbot or wallhack. In the comments section of this Reddit post, most Apex Legends players raised their complaints about cheats, describing similar experiences to the one seen in the video. One of them described a problem they had in their most recent game when a hacker had left their entire team stuck reloading. This hack was considered “game-breaking” by the Apex Legends community because it not only offered the cheater a competitive advantage but also made it impossible for other gamers to play.
