The latest Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 playlist update was revealed by Infinity Ward, which includes bringing back a fan-favorite mode along with a change.

About The Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Playlist Update

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s playlist is updated every Wednesday, and the latest update is updated just one week before the initial launch of Season 3. Call of Duty’s game developer InfinityWard reveals the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 playlist update which brings back a fan-favorite mode with a little change in the shooting game.
Before the arrival of Season 3 of Modern Warfare 2 on April 12, players have only one last playlist update for Season 2 Reloaded. On 4th of April game developer Infinity Ward opened a fan voting system to get responses from fans for what mode should be added into rotation for the Playlist update in Modern Warfare 2 on April 5. Nominees for the fan vote included modes like 10v10 Team Deathmatch, Dome 24/7, 3rd Person Shoot House, and Shipment Extended. The fan voting officially concluded today with one mode, which is particularly the clear favorite.
Infinity Ward’s Twitter Post
In a Twitter post posted officially by game developer Infinity Ward revealed Shipment Extended is now in the active Modern Warfare 2 playlist, bringing a huge change to the fan-favorite Shipment 24/7 mode. Shipment Extended mode is more or less similar to that of Shipment 24/7 except the score limit is doubled in each match. Suppose for example a team would need 300 kills to win in Team Deathmatch instead of the standard score limit of 150 kills. The Shipment Extended matches will be longer than matches in Shipment 24/7, which allows players to gain more kills and more EXP.
In this week Shoot House 24/7, Himmelmatt 24/7, Close Quarters, 3rd Person Moshpit, and various other party modes are also available in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 playlist. Due to the recent addition of Shipment Extended, Shipment 24/7 and Hardcore Shipment 24/7 are no longer in the playlist. Following this, 10v10 Moshpit has also been removed once again from the playlist, and players are demanding to return it as a permanent mode.
The main reason behind the frustration for some players is the lack of permanent 10v10 mode in the Modern Warfare 2 playlist, but this week’s inclusion of Shipment Extended is welcomed by the gaming community. Shipment Extended allows players to experience the popular map in longer matches compared to that of Shipment 24/7, and the community has not lost their interest in the mode even after six months of the game’s release date.
However, the possibility of removing of Shipment Extended from the Modern Warfare 2 playlist in a future update remains. Developer Infinity Ward may choose to circulate Shipment Extended out of the playlist in place of a new mode or another 24/7 variant. Fans should continue developing voices of opinion about the playlist when Season 3 arrives on 12th of April,2023.
