EA Sports has stated that UFC 5 is being worked on seemingly out of nowhere. It now appears that the recent addition of UFC 4 to Xbox Free Play Days for Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Live Gold subscribers to try out was not an accident.
In 2014, 21 years after the inception of the MMA organization, EA Sports debuted their UFC series. Since then, the games have maintained their popularity, even though there aren’t any conventional seasons as there are in most sports, thus EA Sports doesn’t have to create games annually like it does with its other franchises like FIFA and Madden NFL. The last UFC game was launched in August 2020 as a result of the studio’s ability to take its time.
On Twitter, EA Sports confirmed the information and said that the game is “coming soon.” Apart from the game’s logo, not much else was revealed in the trailer used to promote it. The tweet does, however, mention that UFC 5 will receive a complete reveal in September 2023, so it appears that players won’t have to wait too much longer to see the next installment in the franchise. According to the schedule, it appears as though the 2021 rumors about EA getting ready to start production on UFC 5 were entirely accurate.
Release-date rumours for UFC 5
Although the exact release date for UFC 5 is unknown, there is a chance that gamers can learn something from the franchise’s past. In July 2020, just one month before its scheduled debut, the officials officially announced UFC 4. Even though its September announcement means UFC 5 won’t be released as quickly this time around. EA Sports still demonstrates that it is not afraid to release a game shortly after announcing it. It would be unusual for the series to go more than three years without a release, so it’s probable that players may anticipate UFC 5 at some point this year.

The UFC video games up until this point have often been minor improvements on the previous iteration, gradually moving toward the ideal mixed martial arts video game.
