The creators of Pokémon GO do everything in their power to maintain high levels of engagement. A new Pokémon, event, or Shiny variety is released practically every month for players. Passimian, a lone Fighting-type attacker, is a recent addition to the metagame. The recent 2023 World Championships Celebration event featured Passimian for the first time.
This season is no exception, as new Pokémon and Shiny releases typically take place during festive occasions. On Friday, August 11, at 10 AM, the Pokémon GO 2023 World Championships Celebration event begins. It lasts through Tuesday, August 15, at 8 PM local time. Pikachu from the Shiny World Championships 2023 as well as other Shiny Pocket Monsters can be encountered at the event. Having said that, here is all there is to know about capturing Passimian and whether Shiny Passimian is playable.
Celebration of the Pokémon GO World Championships: Passimian and Shiny Passimian are now available
Shiny Passimian is still not present in the game, despite the fact that Shiny forms of many different Pokémon were abundant during the Pokémon GO World Championships Celebration event. The Shiny counterpart and its original variant are rarely made available at the same event by Niantic’s creators. The same is true of Shiny Passimian; despite the fact that players have a variety of ways to acquire Passimian, game developers have not yet included its Shiny form.
The Fighting-type Passimian has recently become playable in Pokémon Go as a part of the 2023 World Championships event, in contrast to its counterpart, Oranguru, which first appeared in the game back in April 2022.
Passimian first appeared in Pokémon Sun & Moon on the Nintendo 3DS and is referred to in the Pokedex as the Pokémon that values cooperation. It’s going to be a rather challenging creature to come across in Pokémon Go, much like in those games.
Pokémon GO: How to capture Passimian
Passimian may only be found in Pokémon Go in two different ways during the 2023 World Championships event: as a 3-Star Raid Boss or as a Field Research prize.
Being victorious in a 3-Star Raid Battle is the easiest way to catch a Passimian. Since it is a Pokémon of the Fighting type exclusively, it is vulnerable to Fairy, Flying, and Psychic-type attacks.
Celebration of the World Championships Field Study: Passimian
Passimian can also be acquired by players through research tasks. The standard Field Research is one of the several research objectives available during the World Championships Celebration. Players are given a number of tasks to complete as part of the World Championships Celebration Field Research quest, and one of them results in a Passimian encounter. A Passimian encounter may be obtained by successfully trading a Pokémon during the World Championships Celebration.
Three-Star Raids for the World Championships Celebration: Passimian
During the World Championships Celebration event, trainers can acquire Passimian from Three-Star Raids. To defeat the raid monster, one must be well-versed in Passimian’s meta and counters. Use monsters with STAB potential of the Fairy, Flying, and Psychic types instead of Passimian because it is vulnerable to attacks of these types. Players of Pokémon GO may run into the monster close to the raid location after fighting the raid boss. Players can face more Passimian the more raids they succeed in.
You should be able to defeat Passimian on your own with a group of powerful counters like Alakazam, Gardevoir, and Espeon, however it’s always simpler to work together with a few other Trainers when it’s available.
You can also receive a Passimian encounter as payment for completing the event-only “Trade a Pokémon” Field Research activity if you are having trouble finding or defeating a Passimian as a raid boss.During the 2023 World Championships competition, spinning PokeStops will grant you access to this field research activity. To make place for new Field Research projects, keep in mind that you can delete any that you don’t want.

Does Pokémon Go have Shiny Passimian?
The unfavourable news is that Shiny Passimian is not yet accessible in Pokémon Go.
Because it’s extremely uncommon for a new Pokémon to make its debut alongside its Shiny form, you’ll have to settle for regular Passimian and wait for its Shiny to appear in a subsequent event.
What Color is Shiny Passimian?
Passimian in its shiny form is extremely dissimilar from Passimian in its regular form. Its hands, paws, and tail are brown, while its body is cream in hue. It also clutches a second light brown coconut, has dark blue patterns on its shoulders and tail, and a helmet made of light brown coconut on its head.
Compared to the white and black normal Passimian variant, which features a pale green coconut and coconut helmet, this is significantly unlike.
Does Passimian have a Pokémon Go evolution?
Since Passimian is the only member of its family of Pokémon, neither Pokémon Go nor any other game features it as an evolution.
The upside of this is that you don’t have to spend much time stockpiling its Candy, even though it does make it a little less attractive Pokémon to capture. Then you can move on to something else after catching one.
In the bustling world of Pokémon GO, the pulse of excitement never wanes. The recent World Championships Celebration welcomed Passimian, an eager Fighting-type, yet its elusive shiny form still remains veiled. Amidst raids and research, trainers seek this cooperative creature, while the shimmering allure of Shiny Passimian waits patiently for its grand debut.
