The newest season pass of Marvel Snap, which is Into The Quantum Realm brings to us a new card, MODOK. MODOK is a game-changing card which comes up with 5-Cost card along with 8-power. This card has incredible power as it has the ability to change and can turn a match swiftly at any time or at the last possible moment to attain that sweet taste of victory. In Pool 2 and Pool 3 decks, there are two different decks: Discardian Discord and Discardian Dissonance respectively. MODOK can able to improve Discard decks more with its On Reveal effect.
In this article, we will guide you to how you can cover up a few of the best MODOK-based decks, and how to improve your efficiency in drawing centric decks. We will also guide you how to place this cards in a right manner so that the way to victory will be smooth in the future.
Discarding Detriment
Discarding Detriment is more or less similar to that of Discardian Dissonance from Pool 3, but it swaps out Gambit only for MODOK. If you want to discard Swarm, then Collen will always be there as Collen will always discard the lowest-cost card. When Swarm is discarded, it creates and extra copy which is also a 0-Cost card. You can swap out much stronger card in your deck such as Hell Cow, American Chavez, or Sword Master by playing these 0-Cost Swarm cards on top of Lockjaw’s location.

1-Cost cards is not used by this deck, but this is the best way to work. As for example, if you have Morbious, Swarm, and Collen Wings in your hand, you will need to play Morbius first just in case Collen will not accidentally discard Morbius over Swarm. So you should look for it.
MODOK is best in this deck, since on turn five we can play MODOK. If we have Swarm alongside Apocalypse in hand, it will discard these two cards creating an extra copy and Apocalypse will place itself back with an increase of four additional power. This happens because of their effects.
Regarding counting as being discarded, Swarm and Apocalypse are reborn in sense, for this the Morbius which we have played in that match earlier will comes up with more power. Sometimes, a player can won a situation solely with Morbius for its effect to increase its power by two times each time a card is discarded.
If for suppose MODOK discarded everything in our hand on turn five, then we still have America Chavez which will always be drawn on turn six, if she is in the deck. And if for Lockjaw’s card-swiping effect, she is not in the deck then a 6-Cost card with 9-Power can be a deadly one to be our final play to push the opponent to back allowing us to win.
Though this deck is a mid-game deck, still you can easily catch your opponent in a matter of plays through the Lockjaw’s combination with Swarm.
Lockjaw is our full setup for the entire match, along with MODOK’s addition to this deck, it is a superb performer in the top decks on Marvel Snap’s Ladder.
This deck is extremely heavy to opponents that rely only on On Reveal or Ongoing decks. This deck need a lot of time and practice to understand its do’s and don’t’s mainly due to Lockjaw, but once you understand the playing style you can easily pack up your bag with win streaks online.
Devastating Discard
In comparison to Discarding Detriment, Devastating Discard uses more early-game cards. Iceman, Sunspot, Wolverine, and Storm are some of the additions in this deck type. Storm possesses the quality to flood a location which will allow the opponent to scramble to play a card there within the turn limit. Combining Storm along with Sunspot and Morbius will allow us to win easily throughout the whole game as the Sunspot increases its power anytime we have left with energy or Morbius receives an additional two power for each card we discard from our hand.

Since the Lockjaw inclusion in our previous deck this deck is a lot more straightforward deck as a Discard deck. This deck is an ideal deck for beginners, as it is a beginner-friendly deck, but that doesn’t mean it is not competitive and cannot rival opponents on the ranked ladder. Sometimes, a less RNG- based (random number generator) deck is better to stick to make a concrete proper plan, follow the plan, and to execute it properly for win conditions.
Recently changed Wolverine card is now a 2-Cost card with 2-Power that has the ability to regenerate to a location when destroyed with increasing its power by two.
Wolverine is not something which we play in turn but will be something we have discarded through Collen Win,MODOK, or Dracula. Wolverine will allow to regenerate on strom’s location with his effect despite Storm floods a location, even if we cannot directly play cards on it afterward.
More than this the only other card which suits best in this deck would be Scorpion, which would be swapped out for Wolverine. Iceman and Scorpion both are frustrating for the opponents our there to deal with, where Scorpion is able to decrease the power of all other cards in the opponent’s hand when played which will make it more easier to overpower them.
Deceitful Discard
Deceitful Discard is all about laying the foundations of our discard effects without activating them until the end of the game. Invisible Woman is a card which comes up with an Ongoing effect which when played at her location will not reveal until the match is over.
Hela is our ace of this deck. Hela’s on-reveal effect will resurrect every card you have discarded throughout the game to random locations. We can resurrect our most dominant cards such as Giganto, The Infinaut, and Death by merging her with the Invisible Woman. We can trick our opponent by using these unique tactics to snatch the victory from them.

If you play Invisible Woman at a location on turn two, then on turn five, then play MODOK at the same location will not activate MODOK’s on-reveal effect at that moment. On turn six we play Hela on the Invisible Woman’s location. Due to this corresponding sequence and order of plays, at the end of the game, MODOK will discard our entire hand, which includes Captain Marvel, The Infinaut, Giganto, and Death. After MODOK’s effect is finished, Hela will join and resurrect all of the cards that we discarded throughout the game, especially what MODOK has just discarded a few seconds ago.
Black Car has the ability to discard by itself due to its effect, and Lady Sif being able to discard The Infinaut, Giganto, or Death earlier in the game will allow Hela to resurrect without the use of the entire hand of discard of MODOK.
The best way to lower the random number generator is Captain Marvel since when she is resurrected by Hela, and Hela resurrects randomly to any locations. Captain Marvel will be able to fly to any location will be the game-winning one by itself.
Even without MODOK, Discard decks have been amazing in the past few seasons. But MODOK is able to bring an effect that discards all cards. Hell Cow was the card that would discard the most with two cards from its own reveal ability, but MODOK’s combination with Morbius, Swarm, Apocalypse, and Hela allows more deck diversity in Discard decks.
Discard Decks is an easy way to climb to the victory of ladders, you can climb higher in the ranked ladder real quick once you have figured out the main playing style of this game. It will only happen after a huge amount of practice along with dedicating quality time in this game.
