Ubisoft announced the Crew Motorfest, the impending new installment in the series, surprising fans of the arcade racing game series.

The Crew was among the best open-world arcade racing experiences, right up there with Need for Speed and Forza Horizon, but it never quite managed to equal those games’ widespread appeal.
However, it appears that creator Ivory Tower is hoping to fully establish itself among lovers of open-world racing games with the impending new release, The Crew Motorfest.
With its brilliant colour scheme and a solid balance of on-road and off-road driving, the game’s tropical environment, which is reminiscent of the Forza Horizon games, was highlighted in the brief gameplay teaser trailer by Ubisoft. Along with the platforms the game will be playable on, the teaser also includes the game’s release date.
In addition, Ubisoft has revealed an “insider programme” that would enable registered gamers to preview the game’s beta build and provide comments to the creators.
The Theme of The Crew Motorfest
Since The Crew 2, the previous game in the series has been out for almost five years, the introduction of The Crew Motorfest seems more logical than ever.
Since its initial release in 2018, The Crew 2 has gotten a steady trickle of content—both free and paid—to keep gamers interested. Even though Forza Horizon 4—its major rival—was launched the same year and achieved greater success, the game was still regarded as one of the best open-world racing titles.

It appears Ivory Tower is moving the brand in the right direction with The Crew Motorfest’s tropical location. Urban environments and cityscapes are the game’s main racing venues.
Off-road racing was a side hobby for The Crew 2 with special off-road cars and performance components. The dirt racing and offroading element, which appears to be the main focus of The Crew Motorfest, was never completely embraced, though. Off-road driving and cars like the off-road versions of the Ford Bronco and Lamborghini Urus were prominently featured in the teaser.
The Crew Motorfest is scheduled for release in 2023 by Ubisoft. At the time this article was written, no precise release date for the title has been announced.
However, given that Ubisoft is already pushing for the closed beta, which begins today, February 1, 2023, it may be assumed that it will be launched within the first half of 2023.
