Many of the shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s overworld—including the Mayasiar Shrine—require players to solve a puzzle before they can enter the shrine itself. To enter the shrine, gamers must travel to Starview Island and solve its enigma using their knowledge of reflection and light. Here is how Link can obtain the Light of Blessing from this shrine.

The Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower is the starting point for your journey to the Mayasiar Shrine. To lift off into the skies, use the tower. Activate your glider at the highest position and sail a little to the right. You will see Starview Island in front of you, which is a sizable sphere (no, it’s not the Death Star!). Inside is where the Mayasiar Shrine is.
Location Mayasiar Shrine
The Mayasiar Shrine can be found in Tears of the Kingdom at the coordinates -3545, -0320, 1965 high in Hyrule’s western skies. It is located especially in the North Gerudo Sky Archipelago, which is located above the Gerudo Highlands.
The big floating sphere can be reached by using the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower to soar into the air. Players will reach the archipelago’s airspace and find themselves in a low-gravity environment. Players will be able to employ floating platforms and rockets to their advantage on the closest floating island they can get to. Be careful that it gets quite cold in this part of the sky, so Link will need to bring cold-resistant food and elixirs or dress appropriately.

Link can climb higher into the air to more effectively approach the sphere by fastening the rockets to the platforms. It is advised to wait until the platform comes to a complete stop before attaching another rocket because the low gravity will allow the platform to keep some speed after the rockets disperse.

Walkthrough of Mayasiar Shrine
On the upper hemisphere of the construction, players will discover a sizable aperture. The Starview Island location discovery can then be found by gliding down to a platform in the middle. There are several mirrors on wheels around Starview Island, and there are four big lamps on a wheel in the centre.
By reflecting light off each mirror, it will be possible to ignite the hexagonal switch that is located close to the top of the structure. In order to rotate the lamps towards the mirror at the same height, players should start by pushing the turnstile in the centre of the room.
As a result, the lamp’s light will bounce off it, then off a mirror in the ceiling, and ultimately, to a mirror on a platform that is suspended above. The numerous updrafts in the building can be used by players to ascend to this upper platform.

Once there, players can turn this mirror to strike a further mirror on a nearby platform of a similar size.
Once more, players should follow the light to the next mirror and rotate it in the direction of a mirror on a smaller platform on the other side of the construction. The light can be pointed in the direction of the switch at the next mirror to reveal a small room with a Sage’s Will.Next, shine the light onto the room’s central mirror. The switch in front of this final mirror can then be illuminated by turning it. It’s possible that players initially rotated the central platform in this manner on purpose, but doing so now won’t reverse their choices.
Solving the Puzzle
Players can now access the shrine to locate Rauru’s Blessing and obtain a Star-Fragment Staff and its Light of Blessing from the chest. Although it isn’t extremely powerful, it can aid Link in illuminating Hyrule’s most shadowy locations.
You must solve the mirror and light challenge on Starview Island in order to get access to Mayasiar Shrine. Do your best Indiana Jones impression at any time.
- Paraglide to Starview Island’s central platform. To aim the lights towards the mirror on the outside platforms, turn the wheel on the main platform.
- Jump out and use the wind to your advantage to return to the higher levels. You can find another wheel with a mirror on top on the platform directly in front of the entrance. If you position the center light properly, it should reflect light from the source of the lower mirror into it. To place the wheel mirror towards a different mirror that is below and to the left of the Starview Island entrance, turn it clockwise.
- Paraglide to the mirror you just lit and across the room. Turn its wheel 180 degrees anticlockwise to direct it towards a different dark mirror on the south side of the room.
- You can locate a chest with a star-fragment staff inside the shrine. Receive a Light of Blessing by activating the shrine symbol.
After obtaining the chest, proceed to the shrine’s entrance so that you can enter. In Zelda TotK, you will receive a chest right before the main shrine altar, as with all Rauru’s Blessing shrines.
